The best way to learn geology is to get outside into the field and see the geology in person! And to do activities like drawing pictures, cross sections, and geologic maps.
Our Story
Credentials and Background
Cliff is a petroleum geologist with more than 20 years of experience. He also taught geology and astronomy at the local junior college for almost 10 years. During this time, Cliff has taken 100's of students and colleagues on dozens of geology and astronomy field trips, ranging in length from one day to five day trips. And he has given several lectures about geology and astronomy to interested groups. Cliff has a Bachelor of Science degree (Earth Sciences) from the Pennsylvania State University, a Master of Science degree (Geology) from the University of Oklahoma, and partially completed a PhD (Geology) at the Ohio State University. He is a licensed professional geoscientist in the state of Texas.
